After a month in solitude and silence in the Palace's hermitage, Vis wrote a speculative essay on ornament. This text is inspired in terms of length, concentration, power and furore by the famous ‘Ornament & Crime’ by Adolf Loos from 1910 and further triggered by Alice Twemlow’s solid but also somewhat naive piece ‘The decriminalisation of ornament’, published in Eye Magazine in 2005. 'Ornamental Portal' en poster design by Rietlanden Women's Office.
Limited edition, copies available for €7,50 at info@palaceoftypographicmasonry.nl. The text can be found on the site of the Palace of Typograhpic Masonry

Sex, you know everything about it, right? This Summer the Dutch novel "Paren of de kunst van de slaapkamer" (rough translation: "Mating or the art of the bedchamber") will be published by AtlasContact.
It's Summer in mythical New York City. Steven and Bird love each other and can do something nobody else can. And I've seen them do it.
"Paren of de kunst van de slaapkamer" is a sex manual for people who already know how it works. It looks for a new vocabulary about those aspects of sexuality we are unable to talk about.

What is artistic research? What is a research document? How do these relate to the making process, invention, and creativity? What exactly is expected of me? If you have ever asked yourself any of these questions, then this book is for you. Research For People Who (Think They) Would Rather Create addresses all relevant aspects that need to be considered during the artistic research process, such as: finding the right topic and approach; formulating your research question; working out your methods; choosing one or more suitable writing styles; and considering the possible roles of visual, virtual, auditory, embodied, and spatial materials.
